So this seemed WAY to Thick, stirring it felt like more Jello thickness (before fully hardened).
I added about 1 more quart to make 1.5 gallons and the the mix seemed more the consistency of other infusions I have done.
Plan on Bottling this weekend

Re: Cranberry-Orange Infused Vodka
Updated I forgot that I doubled the 1 quart recipe so will not fit in 1 gallon jug.
I had some like it and either drink strait-up or mix with Apple Juice for a nice Cran-Apple drink

Re: Recipe Collaboration Exchange Fall 2014 - Pairings
This year has been the year of non-brewing for me.
I still have the recipe from Spring that my partner and I worked out, but have not made yet.
I wish I could of got it done and be more active lately but such is life.
Can not wait to see what these brewers come up with. Keep us posted

Re: Brew #63 Belgian Ale
Using up some LME that is getting old, so made this (The Yeast is 09 2014 too).
So made a quick recipe to use it up.
I notice I have several Mr. Beer HME that are near dates too so I need to get busy and use them up

Re: Latitude 48 review matching game
Been so busy this year my brewing is really hurting.
I bought the Latitude 48 Deconstruction 12pack, man after drinking the Simcoe one I think I need to make a Simcoe SMASH!
By far was my favorite of the set

Re: Dividing 5 gal kit
I have done what is listed above but what I really like doing is making two different beers 1 kit. Lets say you have a brown ale kit, it came with US-05 yeast, I will pickup a US-04 or some other English style yeast and BOOM I have an American brown ale and and English brown ale. Also done it with o...

Re: lagering in a lbk
I have done 13 lagers/bock beers in LBK and only had one have off flavors (but think that was due to my mistake). My drill is add to LBK and drop temp to 48-50*F for 16 days or so then raise temp to 60*F for 3 days. After the D-rest I drop to 48-50*F for 7 days or so then bottle. Once in bottle I ma...
