Strange fermentation or lack thereof

Morning BORG! I brewed a five gallon batch of pale ale Sunday, transfered to the bucket and pitched two packets of S04 and parked it in my 64F fermentation room. Since then I have seen no activity in the airlock and I have a small "bathtub" ring of krausen. I pulled a sample on Wednesday a...

Re: Need some advice on this one...

Thank you Alb!

I love Citra too and if I had another ounce of it, the placement woulda been easy, I woulda done both.

Per your advice, I added it at two minutes and am hoping for the best of both worlds, some flavor
and aroma!

And thanks for the heads up on Galaxy...

Need some advice on this one...

Morning BORG! :borg: Got this recipe mashing right now and it'll be a while before the hop additions, I was wondering where I should put the Citra to get the most benefit from it. I kinda based it's placement off of the Fresh Squeezed clone, but that only used two types of hops. I was thinking of mo...

Italian Spigot wrung off...

I had an Italian spigot wring off in my hand just a few minutes ago... The thing that is angering to me about this is, two weeks ago I lost a 5 gallon batch in this bucket because I thought I had left the spigot open... Now it makes sense why 4 gallons of wort ended up on the bathroom floor :( Remin...

Re: Good Cheap Beer Recipes?

I've got an AG blonde recipe I've brewed three times in the last few months...
once with Citra and twice with Cascade. The opinion from SWMBO is the Cascade
recipe is better. :)

Getting to be a regular now.

With the present cost of my ingredients, 5.25 gallons cost me $18.25. :clink:

I started with Mr Beer in march of 2012....

By July or August, I was doing 5 gallon BIAB mainly for cost reduction
and eventually went to conventional all grain by the end of the year .

I've got 5.25 gallons of this fermenting right now. Got some Mosaic last week to make sure I
could brew it last Saturday.
Sampled a small bit this morning and it's as good as I remember, but it's still young!

Re: What are you brewing/bottling?

Did this Saturday (yesterday)... It's based on a recipe russki suggested when I tried a low alcohol brewing experiment a few years back. It was a very tasty beer! :) One thing that confuses me though, in this incarnation of the recipe all the grain percentages are exactly the same as the three gallo...
