Re: How much have you brewed in 2015?
Wow, amazing numbers by some of the borg. 2015 totals: 12-31 - # 60 and 61 - 5 gal Dopplebock (MB 2014 seasonal double batch) 12-31 - # 62 - 2.5 gal Hopped-Up Honey Helles Bock (MB 2015 seasonal with my twists) It was 371 days since my last brew. I resolve in 2016 to take the next step and brew some...

One Step and a vinator
Recently added a bottle tree and a vinator to my bottling equipment. I have been using One Step previously and while using the new equipment wondered if One Step will get the job done when using a vinator. I'm rationalizing that it will for these reasons. I started home brewing by following sanitizi...

Re: Fool or hero?
I get that, and think most do. My apologies. It was poor taste and judgment to poke fun at a misfortunate idiot with an addiction.Beer-lord wrote:Nothing is worth your life or health......nothing.

Fool or hero?
My friend who posted this on Facebook calls him a true American hero. If it was home brew, definitely. But for Butt lite? Fool!

A little less than one per day now would be just right.
How to?
I've been offered an opportunity to harvest some hops. Please help me. What do I do with them after they're picked? Well duh, yes I'm going to make beer with them. My questions are about the processes, the how to. I am an extract brewer whose only experience is with pelleted hops in muslin hop sacks...

Re: These new 2.5 gal kegs are awesome.
Wanted to keg today with my new 2.5 from AiH. I could not get the gas post and poppet to seal when pressure testing. I'm asking AiH to send a new post/poppet. I hope that fixes the leak. Will keep the borg posted. Update 9-14...new post arrived yesterday, tested, all is well. Jason and Matt at AiH p...

Re: October Beer
Hey Jack, they're both going to be good. I have no problem with booster since I read a thread in a former life about malt to adjunct ratios. Sure wish I could go back and re-read that (and a whole lot of others).

Re: October Beer
The old Vienna lager Octoberfest was one of my favorites. Just got a kit from a friend. Actually I'm doing two batches. The first is the old kit, with the booster and I'm adding a can of Briess Munich LME. Also using Safeale 05 yeast. The second batch is the same yeast and LME but using the new Mr. ...

Couldn't take letting you sit here all by yourself. I'm about 600 miles NW of you.
