Re: Midwest Supplies Security Breach

Just got my $25 gift card and cant complain. For a credit card you simply need to dispute and if its a problem they will handle it. Cant complain as they didn't have to do that and a show of good faith. If you can hack into NASA, etc, who is to blame a small company. Kudos to them with handling thi...

Re: Here's how I BIAB

Thanks Tabasco! That looks alot like my procedure except I do 5 gal batches in a 7.5 gal pot and do three sparges with big ol' squeezes at the end! Last I do a cold water rinse to get my boil volume, if needed! Love the hops spider, because I thought I was the only one that got "creative"...

Re: The No Post Post

So humid here ............ I hate that. Freezer in my kegerator keeps frosting up. I think I understand. The upper part of the fridge (freezer part) has moisture in it. If that's the case get a few of these Dehumidifers . I have one in the keezer with a small computer fan to circulate the air, work...

I don't have a pot big enough to do a traditional full volume BIAB. I mash with 1.5 qts per lb like you, and get great results.

Re: Partial Mash - First Attempt

Having your OG come in "a little low" the first time you mash is a big success. Enjoy the beer.

Here's how I BIAB

Probably nothing new, but I brought my camera into the brew room a few batches ago.

Re: The No Post Post

Are you running your lines through the seal? Not sure what you mean. I got a the tap mounted on the door, with the out line running through the door. It's a pretty clean installation. The "in" line (Co2 into keg) I do not leave one. I bring keg up to about 8-10 psi, and disconnect. Poors ...

Re: Beer names

I'm pretty boring ... I name a lot of 'em things like "Tab Stout", or "Tom's IPA". My favorite name was Tabacker, a collaboration IPA with Packerduf. That beer is great. Funniest name I saw ... my friend who homebrews ... has some chickens and a rooster. When we camp on his prope...

Re: At my wits end and need the Borg

I had a bottle neck snap right off when I put it in the wall mounted bottle opener. All of these suggestions people posted could be it, but as these bottles attrition out, this may just stop happening to you. I hope so. I'm just about completely gotten out of bottling. I have six 5 gal corny's. That...

Yah, but that's what the brewhouse is for!

If the borg didn't have "regulars" it would get boring. I'm sure that being back from vacation, Dave will not be a stranger.
