Last bump......

I made a batch of brew that is overcarbonated. I bottle primed. May have over did it. I usually batch prime, but the bre is definetly over carbed. If I open the brew I wanna drink and let it sit, will that help? Or do it open and reprime? They taste great, its just the carbination is over powering.....

You could even spatchcock the bird and smoke it that way. Ive had great success with that. Hell, even beercan turkey is great. I do not have any pictures of my spatchcock, bc I like the presentation of my whole Turkey.......as far as Thanksgiving is concerned.

I smoke turkey quite a bit. Ive done a couple in the past several weeks to prep me for Thanksgiving and such. Since Im using Premium Young Turkeys, which are enhanced/brined (label will tell you if its in a water/salt/spices solution), I do not brine. Ive done a taste test, and no real difference. B...

In preparation for holidays, I smoked my first turkey.....12lbs, no brine, filled cavity with orange and lemon quarters, 325 deg....for 3.5 hours.....tasted great

I'm more sad its ended.......really good season
