WBC/CBC is back...
...apparently this has nothing to do with the white blood count (WBC) from your complete blood count (CBC)...

Re: What are you brewing/bottling/kegging?

Will The_Professor brew some beer? I have not been brewing for quite some time now. So I picked up some simple stuff to brew. Some LME, hops, and yeast for three 2 gallon batches. LME to 5ish ABV, 20 minute hop boil to 25ish IBU (plus 0.5 oz dry hop), and yeast. The style? See the sentence above, th...

Re: Last forum standing?

Two thumbs up to BP for wading through the swamp of forum history. It's not just beer forums that are crazy. I was on a computer forum that all of a sudden started deleting (with extreme prejudice) accounts for people that posted in "off topic" threads and many people just moved to another...

Re: Who Drinks your Homebrew ?

When I was brewing regularly somewhere around 50% went to other people. At work there were a number of people that looked forward to trying my new brews knowing they would like some and not others. At home, it was fun to take an American Rye to a family event and see everyone drink it rather than an...

If that beer is really a cream ale with coffee you may want to check out something like this.

Re: BrewVide anyone?

I guess if I can use my Mash & Boil for sous vide you should be able to make beer with a BrewVide.
Maybe they'll come up with a BBBrew (BBQ :( ).

Re: Woe is me!

Looks like you brew 3-5 gallons at a time.
Maybe stick with 2.5-3.0 gallon batches, then split between bottling and something like this, brewing as needed.

Beef La Vinaigre

I saw a recipe on Townsends I may try with a twist. Posting it here to see if any comments have further ideas. The thing I will change is that I will sous vide a tri tip with the wine and spices rather than stewing/boiling. I am thinking it would work well with some potatos and onion for a sweet and...

Re: Excess trub

A good hack is to stick something like a book under the front of the LBK so the trub settles more towards the back.
