Dontcha love beer supplies in the mail?!
I was out bushhoggin yesterday and saw that white truck with big blue letters sittin in front of the house and knew why he was there. I was kinda worried that the dog may not of let him outta his truck but when I got home, there sat a box from BrewDemon  Ordered a batch of One Evil pilsner th...

Re: Will it be ok?
Thanks. When I tasted it while bottling, I noticed it had a tiny bit of carbonation already happening. I assumed it was due to having the booster already added.

Will it be ok?
Just bottles a batch of Mr.B Difribrilator Dopplebock and only primed with half a tsp of sugar. Being that this already had booster in it, I'm inclined to believe it will be ok. Or should I pop the tops and add another qtr tsp? By the way, other than the sugar screw up, I brewed this with the regula...

Re: Bottles in dishwasher
Well, I have no clue how hot my DW gets. It doesn't say 'sanitize cylce' on it so I reckon I better sanitize the way I'm used to. I'm not familiar with Oxyclean Free either. My bottle says just Oxyclean. Is this something different? I did rinse them very well when I took them out of the OC soak and ...

Bottles in dishwasher
If I run my bottles thru a hot cycle of the DW, is that enough before bottling for sanitation? They all were rinsed well after emptying and soaked a bit in oxyclean to remove the labels. I also plan on using the bottlebrush on them just prior to the DW just in case and to loosin any crud I may have ...

Re: Homemade brewing stuff
I think the point was that he enjoys woodworking and not to save $19 (plus S&H). Just like I dont really expect to save money by doing my own beer (especially when amortizing in the equipment and my constant new purchases of stuffs), Im guessing he isnt looking at saving the money either. Howev...

Re: Homemade brewing stuff
I'd suggest that building a bottling tree is a) a bad return on your investment and b) a risk of infection in your beer. An economy bottling tree costs $19. It's made of plastic, holds 45 bottles, and can be sanitized. Can you make one for anywhere near that cost, giving some value to your time? An...

Homemade brewing stuff
I do alot of different wood projects. I was thinkin about some kind of bottle tree made out of wood with wooden dowels set at an upward angle then coated with vinyl made for dippin tools and whatnot. I'm open for other suggestions. I'd ratherbuild something than buy it, so don't go there :p Anyhow, ...
