Re: NEVER FORGET
Never forget and never will. My parents left DC the night before on their way to see my brother graduate from basic training. It was the day that I decided to sign up and serve my country. Bless those who tragically lost their lives and bless those hero's that did everything they could to help that ...

Re: Pumpkin Chocolate Porter
I always thought a Pumpkin Porter would be good. The Chocolate adds another level. I guess it would be a fine balance to get all the different flavors in there without one taking over the others. Sounds good. You're the one that gave me the idea for a pumpkin porter. Thanks! MattKnox, did you brew ...

Pumpkin Chocolate Porter
So I brewed a Chocolate Porter a few months back and it turned out exceptional. It was kind of a knock off of Yuengling Porter with a little spin. I am currently fermenting a basic pumpkin ale but got to thinking about a chocolate pumpkin porter. Sounds delicious in theory and just gives me the thou...

Re: Pumpkin Graham Cracker Ale
Oh I'm glad I'm not the only one that was thinking of the Pumpkin Ale. Sleepy Hollow Pumpkin Ale is what I call mine, graham cracker pumpkin sounds awesome, but like some of you said, I don't think the flavor would come through. Like a lager brewery down here, they do a lager and add candy corn, not...

Re: make a light beer?
Thanks for the post guys! Definitely not looking for a BMC, just a way to make a "lighter" beer. Sorry Matt, I misinterpreted your OP. When I hear light I think of crap-lite. It is hard as I said to clone crap light, but I have tried a few times for some of my friends that get all excided...

Thanks for the post guys! Definitely not looking for a BMC, just a way to make a "lighter" beer. People like those 100 calorie beers and stuff so was thinking about that.

Re: make a light beer?
...Can making a light beer be as simple as boiling for 2 hours instead of 1? I did a tour of the Yeungling brewery back in March and they said that is the only difference between their regular lager and light lager?... So, the regular for 2 hours and the light for 1 hour? Personally I'd look at som...

make a light beer?
I am pretty sure that I asked this on the other forum that we will not mention but I forget (I drink, and I'm getting older). Can making a light beer be as simple as boiling for 2 hours instead of 1? I did a tour of the Yeungling brewery back in March and they said that is the only difference betwee...

Here from MBF
I had been on this site before but I had stayed on MBF ever since the beginning of my brew career (hobby) a couple years back. Im an all grain brewer loving the lager I have brewed as my main beer for about a year and really started to enjoy some porters. Look forward to learning from all of you :fl...

Re: Mr Beer Powerful Patriot Ale
Yea its pretty good. I let it sit for 3 to 4 weeks instead of the 2-2-2. It definitely has good carb, its smooth, and has a nice after taste.
