Re: Simulated Cask Conditioning
Thanks BL
Maybe just put the priming sugar in at once? We aren't force carbing. Maybe use more chips but less time before priming? Not sure how to sample from the keg before it gets pressurized. This is all new territory.

Simulated Cask Conditioning
The Brewbirds are getting back in the saddle again. We have a new toy also: a 2.5 gallon torpedo slim line (BBs do a case at a time). We have just brewed an english ESB and would like to explore oak conditioning. It seems the most popular method is placing the chips in a secondary fermenter for week...

Re: Torpedo 2.67
Guys Thanks for chiming in and looking forward to more Borg talk. I bought a 2.5 gal Torpedo Slimline and some CO2 thingies from our new LBHS just to experiment. Actually to get BB1 to experiment because she gets to troubleshoot all my big ideas! We will post some info soon. Meanwhile slowly getting...

Re: Torpedo 2.67

Now 3 in the pipeline and BB1 wants us to stop[washing bottles and get kegging. I saw this item at the LBHS and was wondering what the experts think. We actual...

Barley Crusher w/ 7 lb.-capacity Hopper SKU# 43133
Any one use this Northern Brewer crusher? We are a little disappointed locally with grain selection and handling - so time to get into the grind. Plan is to crush over ale pale using 3/8" cordless drill driver.

Re: IIts getting to be about that time again...Fantasy Footb
Of Course BB2 is in. Last year was a total freak occurrence. At least Chip Kelly's at the 49ers now where can can do no more damage (no more than SF would already be in for, that is.)

Re: Beersmith has an update--v2.3
Hi Im Back!
Excited about the GBeersmith upgrade. Can someone advise on how to install without destroying my custom feature (like added ingredients where I hand-calculated sugar for late fermenter adds). I probably have 20-30 ingredient and equipment sdds. Thanks!
