Re: What to buy?

Id go for a bigger pot and gradually pick up the supplies a little at a time for your own wort chiller. Making it is super easy and inexpensive. If you search homemade wort chiller there is a ton on it and if you spread out the purchases it is a lot more affordable then a one time chunk of $75 to $1...

Re: Aha!

The Wedding Ale went great! It tasted great for a light september brew but had enough kick to still be special and a bit warming. Crisp ale with grainy corn goodness. Here is a picture my friend sent... http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f266/jaredmichaelevans/104b5148-cdb0-4a47-b729-601cf0e369ce.jpg

Re: Today is international Stout Day

Nooooo!!! I missed it!?

Looks like I will have to celebrate tomorrow. Well, today, but you know what I mean.

That Narwhal is a mighty tasty stout. Good for hop fans too.

Think I will break out the founders breakfast... mmmmmm

Looking forward to tomorrow evening.

Re: Idiocracy = BOM

i have agree with berryman. with out the MrB forum i'd have brewed 2 following their 222. would've made 4 gallons of, not very good beer and that would've been it. and while Dave is right about the searches, the sites you find are seldom friendly and some can be down right mean. most won't go off t...

Re: Aha!

3 churches keep me pretty busy. When I can get online it is usually to research or complete emails. So I go through my spurts when I force myself to find time to do the things I enjoy, like participating in this forum and brewing some good beer!

Inkleg, I'm in Carrollton just west of Atlanta.

Count me in, I should have a brew to send and can include a couple local Georgia beers as well. Sounds fun!

Re: Competition results

That is awesome. I would love feedback from someone who isn't a friend or family member. Very cool to get professional criticism on your brews. Sounds like and invaluable experience to me. Wish I could find something like that. Thanks for the post!

Re: Saint Sebastian Tripel

As long as the bottle is thick enough to hold up to the high carb, then the extra yeast at bottling might be something to consider.

Re: Saint Sebastian Tripel

Looking forward to seeing how this one turns out!

Do you think you will bottle it with a cork in belgian bottles?

If so, with a high gravity like this you might consider pitching yeast at bottling, it would just give it that extra yeasty goodness of a belgian tripel.

Slainte!
