Re: Gotta replace all my LBKs

A new LBK is $10. I can get a fermenting bucket locally for under $15. If the equipment is suspect it is not prohibitively expensive to replace it. Get a new fermenting container and give it a try.

Re: Brewing software cheating?

How the heck would you know how long to boil stuff to get your target IBU if you didn't use something like BeerSmith? I have it dialed in and it is super helpful with amounts and durations. That guy can go brew off his head, but he won't make the same beer twice, or remember what it was that he lik...

We have most of the knowledge of the world at our fingertips. No sense at all in using it just for the porn.

I suggest you go visit your mom when it's time to brew. You know, to help her get that $600 credit.

Re: BeerBorg Beer Jokes...drink beer, tell joke

The old spinster goes the he doctor and says "I think I have crabs." The doctor does a quick exam and says "I have good news and bad news. The good news is that you don't have crabs. The bad news is that your cherry rotted and now you have fruit flies!"

Re: DIY stir plate

Then your not actually stirring the wort. There needs to be a magnet bar in the flask spinning the wort infusing oxygen into it. Spinning the flask and wort like that is not different than just letting it sit on the counter, which works albeit a lot slower. Gotcha, I'll get a stir plate at some poi...

Not sure if I should comment on the fact that he should have bought some beer while he was out or if I should ask what "limited edition" means?

Not a clue how to answer your question. But I have just started researching the whole yeast washing thing and I like the Turkey Baster idea. Thanks.

Very few of the options were ones I would choose. But trying to make the best of it I worked through to the end. It told me Massachusetts. Been there. Have no desire for a return visit let alone move there.

My wife was a big fan. She was very disappointed when she heard the news.

I wonder how much that life-size Shirley Temple doll in the attic is worth?

Re: beer flavored.......what???

I suppose they first had to decide what beer flavor tastes like. Bud light and Guinness are both sold in the beer Isle but are hardly the same flavor. But once they have made that decision the Jell Belly people are the ones that could replicate the taste, if anyone can.
