Re: Welcome New Members

Hi, I'm new here and have been brewing for several years, different brewing processes and currently have been doing the Pinter brew system for an easy winter hobby. I just started a batch using the brewdemon kit today. How do i receive the 10-15% discount on brewdemon refills, etc? Welcome. I'm exp...

Re: Grain Father

I'm still rocking my Gen2 Mash & Boil. Best $250 I ever spent for what I've gotten out of it with no fuss. What's the gen2? I remember an epic thread when the mash and boil first started selling for 250. I've got a m&b, but don't know if it's gen2. What's the difference? The m&b is what...

Re: Indoor triathlon

I decided not to get a recumbent bike. I've taken a couple of rides on my regular bike, working on my balance. I may be able to do the may triathlon, but i might do the novice (shorter distances, but may still be a stretch) instead of the sprint.

Re: New here

Welcome. I also bought a pinter. I'm planning on using a mr beer refill in it soon. Since the mr beer refill is designed for a slightly bigger batch, it should be a little stronger. I kind of like the approach of using one vessel to ferment, carbonate and serve.

Re: New brewer

Welcome. I've never used habanero, but I've made jalapeno beer before. I've usually just added curr peppers to the wort, but adding juice should work also. I'd probably start small and add more if you want more heat.

Re: Another pinter question

I think i tried it with the pressure set to 0. Maybe 1, but I'm pretty sure it was set all the way down. I think the old batch is drained, but there might be some drags. I'll double check and try again. It's entirely possibly that i had a bit of a brain fat while trying. It's also possible that phys...

Another pinter question

I'm ready to clean and sanitize it to start a new batch, but I can't seein to unscrew it to open ir up.

Is there a trick to it or do i just need to apply more pressure or use leverage or something?

Re: Kefir and kombucha

I've never made (or eaten) picked eggs. I think I'd probably want to try them before making them. Although i suppose i could start by making one and then try it to see if i want to make more. Kimchee is kind of an acquired taste. I've mafe it before and I've bought it as well. I don't think i made r...

Kefir and kombucha

I wasn't sure where this belonged. Before my accident, i ate and drank a lot of ferment stuff. I think i was mostly into improving the gut microbiome. Yogurt is easy and also easy to find. I also used to make kefir. I found some dehydrated grains and I'm currently rehydrating them. It will probably ...

Welcome aboard. If it's covering ths spout, that may be problematic when bottling. At least for these first bottle, but you're still a ways away from bottling, si things may change
