Re: Newbie Checking in
Welcome, you are kind of right in that patience is the hardest part of this hobby. I find that the hardest part is not enough money for all of the brewing toys.

Re: so cal fires
No winds. I think we will be fine, but no brewing. Ash ale I guess, grey saison maybe, fire retardant red?

Re: so cal fires
The braumiester is pack and ready to go, screw the record collection. If the winds stay at bay we will be fine. Pray for Santa Barbara, its heading that way. This morning was touch and go. We are sleeping in shifts. I could hear the fires this morning while on my shift at 2:30 am. At one point we we...

Re: Pressure Cooker

Beans, rice, My favorite dish is simple dimple. a layer of cubed potatoes, a layer of country style ribs and a layer of baby carrots and then some more potatoe...

Re: Pressure Cooker
I recommend the instant pot, we use ours all the time. What is cool about them is if a stew you are making is not quite done in time for dinner, you can put under pressure and speed up the process in a jiffy.

Oxyclean Concentrate
So my LBHS quit carrying PBW, and is selling oxyclean in its place at $4.99/lb. So a trip to target to get some oxyclean. My question to the collective is what concentration is everyone using? I finally have some beer to keg.
