Re: Preparing For The Impending Snowmagopolypse!

My truck is packed and we are heading into the mountains of WV for what we hope is an awesome ski trip. #1 goal is to "arrive alive" before the storm cranks up Friday morning. We'll hunker down, ski all day Fri / Sat / Sun and let the WVDOT clear the roads for my drive home Sunday evening....

Re: 2015 Brew Review & 2016 Brewing Goals

In 2015 I did over 100 gallons of beer and about 50 gallons of wine. I had a few bad ones. For 2016, my wife bought me a nice notebook to keep track of all my brews. I have a few pipeline fillers that I'll keep in circulation and try to brew a few seasonal beers for variety. My goal is to have my 2 ...

Thanks guys! I'll keep what I have for now and maybe mix another LBK or 2 once the clearance sales go on.

RB - All great points. I'll have to look up those local retailers. Like you, all I want is the LBK.

Fermenting Buckets - How Long Do You Keep'em?

I have a few 5 gallon buckets that are over a year old now. They seem harder to clean and show signs of stains. Is it time to replace? I'm considering going back to good ole LBKs. They are inexpensive, fit nicely on the shelves where I brew and they seem to last. From a cost persective 2 LBKs are ch...

Re: Mixed feelings

Today is my last full day at work. Tomorrow I will go in and leave right after my retirement party which starts at 9AM. I think it is very honorable that you are going to work for one day immediately after a holiday weekend. Most guys wouldn't do that. Enjoy your new adventures and wish me luck on ...

Here she is topless showing off her Irish Red. Since "she" has a spigot, should she be a he? Maybe I'll name her / him Jenner?
