Here's a similar thread. I've done it a few times with great results.

Re: Brewless since May.

Thanks everyone. It's funny that we sold our "old" house that was only 6 years old and moved into our "new" house that was built in 1969. In full disclosure, I should not complain too much. We went from a 2.5 acre wooded lot to a half acre waterfront property waking up to this ev...

Brewless since May.

Sad to say but the title is true. We put a contract on another house in May and put ours up for sale. We closed on both at the end of Aug and we are SLOWLY moving into the new but MUCH smaller house. I left a nice, dedicated 10 * 10 basement area that had a laundry sink right next to a work bench wi...

Re: best online keg deals

Not really sure where you are located , but I see there are airgas outlets in your county. That is who I use +1 on Airgas. I have two 5# tanks and try to keep one on standby at all times. Once one dies off, I swap it duiring the week to bring me back to two. I'm sure we've all had that dog gone lea...

Re: Woot has a kegerator and mr. beer kits on sale

Hey guys and gals, I have this one or one VERY similar. I have it installed into my bar. Here's my 2 cents .... Pros: I've had it for 2 years and it's still going strong. It keeps my beer cold. Easily holds 2 ball lock 5 gal kegs. Price is awesome. Cons: 2.5 # co2 tank. Mine had a cheap alum tank ma...

J Dub's Bell Cow Nitro

My wife and I are in Destin, FL this week. We stopped in a place called The Craft Bar on rte 30A near Santa Rosa Beach. Tons of beers on tap. I had a pint of J Dubs Bell Cow Nitro. I swear it tasted exactly as advertised - "a chocolate milkshake disguised as a beer". It was mighty tasty an...

Re: Collecting Chiller run off water

I don't go thru that much trouble but I do refill my laundry tub with it. I use the runoff to rinse off my chiller when I'm done. My runoff goes right into the tub so all I do is plug the tub drain after 5 minutes or so.

Paying it forward.

I try to support a small LHBS from time to time even though he is MUCH farther away than my local beer distibutor that now sells home brew supplies. That said, my wife and I have decided to down size and sold our house in our really cool and fun neighborhood. With the downsize in motion, there are s...

That beer looks great. I love how you tagged it's contents. You gave me a great idea for the next time I bottle!

Re: Filling the Pipeline

The sad part is that our group has 8 kegs (6 are 5 gal and 2 are 2.5 gal).

As I type this, we have one full 2.5 gal keg of beer (sigh) to last us until these are ready.

Now I bow my head in shame ......

Filling the Pipeline

We put a HUGE dent in the pipeline over the holiday weekend. That required some serious brewing on Sunday and Monday. On Sunday, we brewed three 5 gallon batches of CAB (cheap ass beer) and on Monday we brewed a summer ale and a robust porter. I'm sure you all will appreciate 25 gallons of beer ferm...
