Re: Homebrew, Food and Fireworks

Wow. That's quite the 4th of July party. Nice fireworks too. Looks like a lot of fun. By the way, what's in the bowl with the corn in the cob? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk It's a low coutry boil. Some call it Frogmore Stew. Man is it good. My wife uses this recipe http://www.myrecipes.com/rec...

Re: This will raise some eyebrows

I have never taken my kegs apart. When a keg kicks, I remove that keg and fill half with hot water, shake the crap out of it then dump it. I then refill it full with hot water. I hook up a hand pump to blow air in it for pressure and a picnic tap to rinse the dip tub. I do that for a few minutes the...

Enjoy your travels.

I just got back from a week off. I can say in complete confidence that this thing we call work is highly over-rated.

Who Needs Bottle Caps?

Hey Gang - I need to clean out some clutter in my brewing area.

I literally have about 800 bottle caps left over from a bunch of Brewers Best 5 gal kits.

I'd hate to just throw them away but I don't want to go broke shipping them to someone that could use them.

Thoughts?

Re: Pennsylvania news

It will be very nice to have more options and less running around. Now if we can just convince Giant Eagle to let you pay for ice in the same isle as beer I would be good to go! :give: Ray - have you ever been to the Market District Giant Eagle in Robinson? They got one of those exemptions to sell ...

Re: Pennsylvania news

It's such a PITA here. Gotta go to ABC store to buy wine. Even worse - can't buy a 6 pack of beer except for a bar. Some specialty places sell it now but a few years ago it was case only at a beer dist. Thank goodness I live 10 miles from OH. I grew up in WV. We'd buy beer at 7 - 11 in the morning h...

Re: Craft Breweries Impact On Homebrewing

The history of CAB: CAB originated on the old Mr Beer Fans Forum. A couple years ago I had 3 kids in college. They'd come home and drink that god awful Natty Light. I refused to pay for that crap so I requested a simple CHEAP recipe for me to brew for them. Jon provided the original recipe. We threw...

Re: BrewDemon Deals

I bought a few cans myself to make three 2 gallon batches. I have their IPA ready to go on tap and I'm fermenting the nut brown ale right now. Next up is the oatmeal stout. I like these for my small 2.5g kegs.

I bought them a few weeks ago and just leave them in the fridge until I use them.
