Re: Pricey but cool

A couple of bags of ice in a cooler with some water and the circulate that through my chiller using a sump pump. Cools down to @68 in 20 minutes or so. Saves on water. Being in California this helps the water bill

Re: SO, you want some Pliny the Younger do you?
I'll just wait until a keg of it shows up at my local ale house. They tend to tap the keg on a Saturday morning and it's usually gone by mid-morning
I don't get much done on that day ![happy :)](./images/smilies/smile.gif)

Just cooling was ok for the summer time but the garage is getting cool enough it was time to add a heater to the temperture control loop. I used the instruction in this video; https://www.yo...

Re: Back to Brewing, and Mishaps
I brewed the same kit recently. I'm lucky enough to have an alehouse that I go to that has a new Pliny keg on tap every Monday so I could do a comparison. The Northern brew is a good beer but not the same as Pliny, at least according to my taste buds :). Regards, KB Are you Bay Area local? Yep... o...

Re: How much to open the valve
I was trained to open the cylinder valve all the way as most gas valves have seals at both ends... i.e. both the fully open and fully closed positions seal the valve stem and cylinder. If the valve is only partially opened there is a possibility of gas leakage around the valve stem. This is from my ...
