Yeah I used the 1968 the other day for a 2.3g batch, and beersmith said it only had 30% viability. So I threw in a 2g packet of BrewDemon S-33 just to be sure, since it didn't swell much. I had some swelling of the pack, but it took 3 days before lots of activity was visible in the LBK. After 24 hr...

I got the 1968 ESB and the Trappist HG too. I used the the Trappist HG for the Mr. Beer Amberosia Tripel I brewed earlier this week and the 1968 ESB for Mr. Beer's Spiced Christmas Ale. I brewed the Diablo IPA Deluxe (HME plus pale LME) and like Beer-Lord tasted just the bitterness of the beer, no hop flavors or aromas. If I did this one again I'd definitely do a flavor boil and dry hop.

I made my El Diablo Blanco per the Mr. Beer instructions using the T-58 yeast, and compared to the plain White IPA the Blanco was a little more bitter with a little more hop flavor. I like the way the series is being run with two races per day. With the relatively short course and the amazing speed of these boats it makes for some pretty good racing -- even on TV.
