Re: Gluten and Clarity Ferm Update

I also find no detectable difference in the beers made with Clarity Ferm. I used it in something like 50 straight batches, and you'd never know it. A few of the brews weren't so great, but that had nothing to do with the CF, just bad recipes I tried.

Re: Refills Past their Sell By Date???

I bought some of those when I had good momentum going with my brewing, but then life really got in the way. I decided to store them in fridge to slow down the mallard effect and aging. Is that a good idea, a bad idea, or a makes-no-difference idea?

Re: 2 gallon batches are fun!

I'm glad to see so many others doing small batches too. Now I don't feel so small. I also have space problems as well as back lifting problems, but really, just being able to churn out more varieties in smaller batches is a great thing. I don't feel like such an oddball now after reading this thread...

Re: I'm not one for rumors but...

When i lived in Austin (many years ago), Austin homebrew was the first place I bought supplies for the first time I brewed. It was a little tiny place and I could walk to it from my house. Now that I look back, that beer was horrible and I can't believe that I came back to brewing. My room mate and...

Re: Growler Can

I saw a growler in Costco this past weekend that looks super promising. The brand is REDUCED, it's a 64 oz stainless steel growler with double wall insulation and a screw cap. I'm probably gonna break down and get one. I think it was $21.99 until Sept 7th.
