Eight years ago today...

I brewed my first beer ever. It was a Mr Beer Golden lager. I remember taking it to a family party and coming back with empty bottles. It wasn't the best beer I ever had but it tasted pretty damn good since I brewed it myself. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20191231/42dde2f3fb6477156369209018ab02f...

Founders Crumudgeon Old Ale Recipe

You might have heard that Founders has discontinued making it's Crumudgeon Old Ale and I have to say that this was one of my favorite beers that Founders made so I was just a bit disappointed to hear that it was not longer being produced. So when I saw they made the recipe publicly available I was q...

Re: An informational message for the 1st timers

Good morning. I'm looking to upgrade from my Brew Demon kit to something I can customize a bit more with styles. Any recommendations that are beginner level without much space and a limited budget? Are you looking to brew/ferment different recipes with the Brew Demon fermenter you have or looking t...

Brew To Do List

I must say that the list for Detroit / Metro Detroit is very accurate currently. Check it out. https://www.brewtodol...

Our club brewed a club beer for Michigan Homebrew Festival. We are making a Strawberry Milkshake IPA and I racked it onto 3 oz of Cascade, 1.5 lbs or lactose and 6 lbs of strawberries. We shall see how this turns out. https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/AEKwDdgk5qpSBtz7tD9wfLae8J5K0KZCXfCRda5G_yKS2u6_...

Re: Passing the can-Help keep this forum open

One thing that would be helpful and not to be prying, but if knew about how much to keep this site going. Maybe already said and missed it, but I like this place and feel like I know everybody personally and would hate to loose it for a few dollars. A rough number would help on what I can give to h...

Is there a bill coming due soon? I've had a bunch of recent unexpected home repair bills and an temporarily cash strapped. Yes, the yearly hit did come right out of his account. Totally understand the repair stuff. My not even 2 year old fridge had a bad fan and cost me $475 freaking dollars. Every...
