Re: DIY Jaded Hydra

Nice build. I'm not that handy so I bought mine a long time ago and fell in love with it the moment I used it.

Congrats.

Re: FermZilla 27 Liter Tri Conical Fermenter

I can help you out here - assuming the fermenter is higher than the keg, that is. You just need a 1/2' nipple that will go on the bottom 2" tri-clamp fitting. Slip your hose over the 1/2" nipple and feed into your keg - now assuming the lid is off. If you want to gravity feed into a keg vi...

Re: What are you brewing/bottling/kegging?

I recently brewed a Moose Drool (brown ale) clone, and yesterday I knocked out a Sierra Nevada Pale Ale clone. Both were kits from MoreBeer that I got as Xmas gifts. I like doing Morebeer kits, they almost always come out good. I did the SN clone last year and I liked it. Have looked at the Moose D...

Re: FermZilla 27 Liter Tri Conical Fermenter

Word of warning....do not dump yeast/trub/hops while it's under-pressure. Ask me how I know this is a bad idea..... I can only imagine. But doesn't that decrease the utility of pressure fermentation? Or do you do pressure fermentation to reduce ester production, then drop the pressure, dump the tru...

Re: FermZilla 27 Liter Tri Conical Fermenter

Haven't been here in a while - I have some catching up to do! Congrats on the new purchase. Interesting enough, I just pulled the trigger on the Hop Bong that can fit on this, too. IT's for oxygen-free dry-hopping. Did I need it? No. But I wanted it, so..... I also have the equipment for pressure fe...

Re: What are you brewing/bottling/kegging?

Yesterday I brewed up batch #(I lost count) of Levitation.

For those not familiar, this is a clone recipe of Stone's Levitation (AmberAle) that they discontinued a while ago.

I can't help on the low/no alcohol brewing either, but I'm jumping in to say congratulations for getting through your hard time - that's not easy to do (not that I need to tell you that).

Re: Spike CF5 conical fermenter

Yeah, it does. And my bank account has a hole in the bottom of it because of it

BUT, it's keeping brewing fun to learn how to use new equipment, new processes, etc.

Man, it's a kick to look back and think that I (a lot of us, actually) started with that little brown keg!
