Re: Pictures

So, in this box of found homebrew, I'm embarrassed but also excited to say I that I just found these inkleg sours... Can't believe I didn't open these, but I am so opening them soon... Maybe Inky can interpret the cap coding? https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20220206/d414b866a03bcdb5aa3797254f6a2607...

Re: Pictures

And... as a result of prior post... I am actually brewing! Holy cow, first this year. Rye pale I bought ingredients for back on Black Friday. Hope the first of a few more this year... And yes, I considered doing all of the electrical myself... The outdoor plug (that I use for brewing) was malfunctio...

Re: Pictures

Is it wrong that I am irrationally exuberant about a power outlet? For the longest time, I've had to run an extension from the 20 amp backyard outlet for my electric brew system because it blew the fuse on the 15 amp outlets in the garage. I also have an electric hybrid car, and it occasionally blew...

Re: Brewing library

Nice. I have these. They make sense if you know me LOL. IMG_1915.JPG Like that selection. I think you would like Historical Brewing Techniques: The Lost Art of Farmhouse Brewing by Lars Garshol as well. I think it would be up your alley. I ran into him speaking on the weekly Beoirfest webstream (ht...

Brewing library

Wondering what you all have in your brewing library. Most of these were gifted to me, with a few used store purchases. I admit I have yet to read half of these... I get recipe inspiration from this shelf, as many are recipe books. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20220201/a1c961a2754acefe2fe42932315...

Re: Borg Meet-Up 2018 NASHVILLE!!

Oh, and here is a rundown of the 27 breweries in Nashville city limits... So much brewery growth.... This doesn't include the suburb breweries (Steel Barrel/Mantra/Humulus at Hop Springs, Mayday, and the eight-ish breweries out here in Williamson County... https://nashville.eater.com/maps/best-nashv...

Re: Borg Meet-Up 2018 NASHVILLE!!

Come join me at Yazoo Funk Fest on Oct 2... -------- The time has come to finally announce Funk Fest 2021. After a year of churning out near-weekly ETF releases without the proper chance to raise a glass with one another, we've finally set a date for a return to the barrel house. Funk Fest 2021 will...

Re: What are you drinking?

Got that at a Kwak event at a local brewery taproom. According to the Kwak website: “In Napoleon’s time, Pauwel Kwak was a brewer and the owner of the De Hoorn inn (near Brussels). Mail coaches stopped there every day, but at that time coachmen were not allowed to leave their coach and horses,” “As ...

Re: What are you drinking?

The new voss pseudo lager lawnmower beer is *chef's kiss*... exactly what is was supposed to be. Light, crisp, super clean, perfectly carbed. Wish i could get the serving carb figured out on it, but otherwise (after letting it settle for a bit and finishing the pour) it is perfection... https://uplo...

Re: What are you drinking?

Steve, look what I found in the (way too full to the point that things get lost) beer closet... Trying to remember which Nashville trip you all did the recipe for this... Edit: this held up really nicely. Kind of an esb vibe more than a belgian though (which is what i think the recipe was). https://...

Re: What are you brewing/bottling/kegging?

Mashani, thanks for the Grodziskie/Gratzer recipe/advice. I think I may head that way on the next brew day. I somehow missed that post this time around, and also decided to brew something with ingredients on hand this time... Brewday was Sunday. Pretty much finished fermentation in two days at 80 de...
