Re: Oh, what should I brew next?
I'm thinking maybe going with a Dunkel next after the American Lager and use the same yeast what should also be good for that. What a good starting grain bill? I have some specialty grains on hand. I like to plan ahead some and not that far away when ordering stuff.

Re: Oh, what should I brew next?
I'm burning through my yeast as temperatures in my basement change. That's pretty much how I work on it. The Lager that going to brew next week will use Cellar Science German, it's a lot like 34/70 but cheaper. I will harvest that yeast and use it on a Helles or Dunkel. My fermenting cabinet does g...

Oh, what should I brew next?
I got a Blueberry wheat just a few days away from kegging and a light American Blonde Lager next. After that IDK what I want to make, Maybe a Helles, Kölsch, Dunkel , Dunkelweizen, Banana Hef or a big IPA or a APA. I see a lot of times on here for some reason at different times of the year we are br...

Re: What are you brewing/bottling/kegging?
Brewing a Blueberry Wheat today. A simple 60/40 with 3lbs pale 2 row, 2lbs pilsner, and 3.5 white wheat, Mosaic hops to 12 IBU. Using rinsed us-05 made into a 1 L starter. will make a puree with a touch of honey and add at the end of fermentation, and also have some blueberry flavoring at kegging. E...

Re: The No Post Post
I've got a co-worker like that, he jumps in head first into any new hobby, spends a bunch of money, figures out in a year or so that he doesn't like doing it anymore, and jumps into another one. It's humorous sometimes. Tony, does he like craft beer? Tell him how fun and rewarding hobby this is and...

Re: The No Post Post
I have seen so many people jump into a new hobby and go balls out and spend $$$$ and in a few years get board and move on to something new and do the same big money spending on something different. My wife likes deals and reading the market place adds. This morning while we were having our coffee sh...

Re: FermZilla 27 Liter Tri Conical Fermenter
I spent this whole (crappy outside anyways) day looking up ways to gravity out, not much out there on that as the main idea on this unit is for pressure ferment and transfer. Well I guess why I wanted it anyways, About a $100 more of things needed. I think if I want to do it right, I should get anot...

Re: Cracked spigot...
If you want to stick with the fermenter you have, you might be able to find a better spigot that you could make work.

Re: FermZilla 27 Liter Tri Conical Fermenter
Ok just a update on my new fermenter, NO i haven't used it yet, Wife said you haven't used that thing you had to have yet? Well I bought it on Black Friday so that is good to keep her happy. :) I mostly wanted to use it to try pressure fermenting and second for pressure transfer, but can be used as ...

Re: What are you brewing/bottling/kegging?
I didn't adjust the volume for this since they built it for 5G and I brewed 6, so I ended up with a lighter 4% session brown ale - but it's still good! I do a lot of the MoreBeer kits, I put 5.5 in the fermenter, I run the numbers and usually very close. I get it un-crushed because I don't think mo...

Re: What are you brewing/bottling/kegging?
I recently brewed a Moose Drool (brown ale) clone, and yesterday I knocked out a Sierra Nevada Pale Ale clone. Both were kits from MoreBeer that I got as Xmas gifts. I like doing Morebeer kits, they almost always come out good. I did the SN clone last year and I liked it. Have looked at the Moose D...
