Re: Do experienced brewers bottle?
Everyone has a story, this is a good discussion. I think I drink less with kegs. With bottles, if I open one, I finish it. Open two, finish both. The keg lets me easily drink half a beer or a beer and a half. Also a bonus Gives me the option to drink 6 1/2 instead of 7 Or I can drink 6 of one and a...

Re: Do experienced brewers bottle?
I do both
Kegging most of my beers for about 2 years,
But I usually bottle the ones I drink slower.
higher alcohol beers, Stouts, Porters go in bottles
as well as anything that is going to require extended aging
because they would tie up a keg to long.

Re: What are you brewing/bottling?
Today I brewed a NB Caribou Slobber Brown Ale 1G Extract w/steeping grains recipe. A clone of Big Sky Moose Drool. I apparently didn't read the recipe close enough and added the 15 min Willamette hops at 30 min instead, well they did say 30 mins later. Ah well, I had some East Kent Goldings on hand...

I probably wont buy another one.

Re: What are you brewing/bottling?
Ive always LOVED rye beers And Ive really been into ESBs lately I think 4 of my last 6 have been ESB Brewed my Crystal Rye ESB, pretty much to the recipe. The efforts to improve it have all failed, though I couldn't resist adding a little Mittelfruh at flame out. The sun set halfway through my brewd...

Re: Least Favorite/ Can't Stand Craft Breweries

I will take a coors lite instead And I HATE coors lite I will, however, take a Boston Lager or a Noble Pils and a few other Sam Adams beers It is interesting what differences there are in such a fine bunch of beer connoiss...

New Belgium makes some pretty good beers
In my opinion Fat Tire IS NOT one of them
I can barely swallow it
