Yep, that's how I do it. I normally make a 2 pound batch. My little fuzzy butts like them. Make sure you only leave out what you'll use in a week. Keep refrigerated, and freeze the rest. It WILL mold up on you if you don't.

I use to get 5 brews out of a 50 pound sack. All were 5 gallon batches.

Well...
that last batch was 8lbs of Amber DME, 2lbs 80, 1oz each of kent, east kent, and fuggle. I might get to drink it in Nov. or Dec. even though it will be kegged.

The same thing I always drink Pinky: Nong Brew.

How many pounds do you use per batch?
