Re: What are you drinking?
A friend of mine has friends up there in Wisconsin. When they come to see him or he goes up there, they usually bring a case of assorted New Glarus. Pretty good beer.

Re: What are you brewing/bottling/kegging?
Today I Brewed Janet's Brown Ale, this is a 5G Extract w/steeping grains recipe from MoreBeer! I've not tried this one before but have heard a lot about it. Apparently it's an American version Brown Ale. It had lots of grain and several ounces of hops too, almost like an IPA.

Re: What are you brewing/bottling/kegging?
I brewed a Russian River Blind Pig IPA clone this morning. It's a 5G Extract w/steeping grains recipe from MoreBeer, dry hops & oak chips to be added later. I've never had the original but it sounded good, so I thought I'd try it.

Re: The No Post Post
Yep, that's one of the reasons I buy recipe kits too. After I added up the ingredients in some of the recipes (looking at the Midwest Supplies Simply Beer series for example), it was cheaper to buy the recipe kit than to buy the ingredients by themselves. They've gone up somewhat now, like everythin...

Re: What are you brewing/bottling/kegging?
I brewed a Bastard Stepson Root Beer this morning, a 5G Extract recipe from Midwest Supplies. I've made it before, tastes similar to the not your fathers root beer. It's wonderful with ice cream in a root beer float. After taking a reading and accounting for the wort temperature, I measured 1.056 an...

Re: What are you brewing/bottling/kegging?
Yeah, I guess it could be both of those. My wort level is just a little over 5G to account for the trub in the fermenter and the O.G. wort temperature is usually 70-80s. Then when I take the F.G., it's temperature is usually 60-70s. My Hydrometer is calibrated to 60*F, so yeah, I'll have to take the...

Re: What are you brewing/bottling/kegging?
I brewed a Sweet Patootie Cream Stout today. It's a 5G Extract w/steeping grains recipe from Jasper's Homebrew Supply. One thing about Jasper's recipes, sometimes he's got some really interesting names and descriptions for them. I used the artesian spring water again, so we'll see how well it tastes...

Re: What are you brewing/bottling/kegging?
I brewed a Creme de Menthe Holiday Stout today. It's a 5G Extract w/steeping grains recipe from Jasper's Homebrew Supply. Something I did a little different this time, the water I used came from a local Artesian Well/Spring. The water tastes very good and quite a few people take some home for drinki...

How much have you brewed in 2022?
Since nobody started this topic yet for this year, and I made beer today, Jan 1, 2022. Here it is: Thread guidance as per previous posts of this type: create one (and only one) post and continuously edit it throughout the year, adding your ongoing brewing adventures. Re: What are you brewing/bottling/kegging?
Today I'm brewing a Hefeweizen. It's the Hank's Hefeweizen 5G Extract w/steeping grains recipe from Midwest Supplies. I don't recall drinking a hefeweizen before let alone making one, so this will be something new. Hef's are good, I brew them quite often. A nice light wheat beer. I have done that s...
