Re: What are you brewing/bottling/kegging?

I was finally able to brew on Sunday and it was the first time this year. I brewed my Citra-Nilla IPA. First time in over a year that I've brewed that recipe and I can hardly wait for it to be ready to drink. https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/1hOPh6pPhZ7ZT9k4nbwfAozOKCwhxPDG0hGJ7xQWD7rm-MebItqy9zpwf...

Re: New to Borg 30 years since last brew

:bbwelc: Glad you found us BioChemNut. It's always nice when the Borg can reclaim a wayward brewer and bring them back into the collective. :borg: Hopefully none of us scare you off and you find the hobby as fun and interesting as the rest of us do. To get the BrewDemon discount follow this link and...

Wanna know what that’s like when done.

This will be our 3rd barrel aged beer. The first was a RIS, second was Scottish strong ale. Now the pale ale.

DETROIT is a Beer Destination

It really makes me proud that Liberty Street Brewing Company who hosts my Sons of Liberty Homebrew club is included on this list. These are the top 10 but there are so many more that aren't far behind.

Re: Tilt Hydrometer

I'm very intrigued by this. I love geeky stuff and IOT (Internet Of Things) stuff like this. I like the concept but the limitations of bluetooth and WiFi when you put it in the your keezer and then charging you more just to make it work the way it supposed to in just poor design. I do have a questio...

Re: Cleaning tap lines

That might be a great guide for commercial establishments. 122 pages of info is a little overload for this homebrewer!!! I've been kegging for a number of years now and the method I mentioned works great for me. Hint - Read the Table of Contents Chapter 7 - System Maintenance and Cleaning - pages 6...

Re: Cleaning tap lines

The Brewer's Association puts out a free Draught Beer Quality Manual . This is the bible. It discusses line cleaning, as well as faucet cleaning (yes, we had the discussion here about how a particular brand of faucet didn't need to be disassembled, and that was shown to be incorrect). Many may scof...

Glad you found us. In general the longer you can wait to let the beer condition the better it will taste. Feel free to ask questions and let us know how your beer turns out. We always like to hear about good beer.

Re: What did you get?

Chris is the winner. Cute kids trump everything. I've only tried the Tapacooler filler once, and probably need another part. Perhaps I should start another thread when I've worked out the kinks. For right now I'll give it a thumbs up, though it would be easier to use if you have a collar instead of...
