Hey Gang. Today I brewed 2 SMASH Mr. B. sized batches. One was the Lite version with steeping grains, and 2 # Xtra lite DME,and an ounce of Amarillo hops. The 2nd one was a Breiss 3.3# Golden LME and an ounce of Citra hops and some steeping grains. I used Saf-05 for both batches. They should come out pretty tasty. These are probably gonna be the last batches for the year. Cheers, and Happy Holidays to All.

Those sound tasty, Randy. There are so many great SMaSH beers to be had with the choice of hops we have available these days. I plan on doing a couple of them "15-minute brew style" in the coming weeks to beef up the pipeline for Christmas break myself.

Actually, that child looks EXACTLY like her father. I could show you a picture of me at that age and you would swear they were the same person. Results and thoughts on the recipe are posted on the recipe thread.

Brewed my Crystal Rye ESB, pretty much to the recipe. The efforts to improve it have all failed, though I couldn't resist adding a little Mittelfruh at flame out.
The sun set halfway through my brewday, so I finished by the light of a pressure lamp.

Never mind, there it is.

Yes, I also love me a Rye beer or an ESB.

Oh and I bottled that Strata hopped English IPA I made. It was pretty intense tasting and smelling. Didn't taste like a single hop beer, the Strata hops have a lot going on. Citrus, tropical fruit, and dank dopeyness, all in one. Glad I used the ESB yeast, as it left some matiness behind, and it needed it, as it's plenty bitter as is.

Right now I'm carbonating two kegs of a Sloop Juice Bomb NEIPA clone. One keg will go into bottles for my niece and the other I'll put on tap. Tomorrow I'll be brewing an American Brown Ale to have ready for the upcoming Holidays. I plan on spending a good amount of time brewing in the next two months, and very much looking forward to it.
