The California common I made that I called "California Uber Alles"... with a bit of a more German grain bill and some mosaic and simcoe added along with the northern brewer.

I like it.

Glad this worked out for you. If you recall I mentioned a while back that I did a Cali Common with Simcoe + NB and I didn't care for the combo much. IIRC it was actually a collaboration brew and I believe my partner's version came out better. There was just something in mine that didn't do it for me.

So, I'm happy yours is better and you enjoy it.

What I named test batch C1 a SMaSH with home grown cascades. A PA but a little darker then I would have liked. my favorite from my hops experiment. Now will put a little more malt in it maybe a little cyystal and make a 5 gal batch. Needs a little more bitter but not be a PA but what I would like from it

Might be the mosaic. It would probably be very piney with just NB and Simcoe. The mosaic added some berry like fruitiness that is nice.

I'm drinking some of the Centennial + Cascade APA I made, very basic beer, but tasty and very easy to drink.

Just tapped my Lake Erie Monster clone-ish. Mighty fine double IPA. And the whole 5 G batch cost the same as 2 four packs, thanks to an a LHBS sale.

For a "nightcap" I opened up a bottle of 7 month old Sumerian Black Beer that has been sitting in the back of my fridge.Apparently it remains a dark beer with a nice lemony tartness. A nice close to the evening.

Started with my rye pale ale and now am drinking a Railsplitter IPA from Triton Brewing in Indy. This is a very well balanced IPA, not over the top in happiness but has a nice hop bite to it.

I popped open one of those beers that got really oxidized due to spigot / autosiphon failure. So far, although its a bit darker then it was, its still pretty good. It has a bit of a dry bitter biscuit like flavor that it didn't have before. I have a feeling that that biscuit will eventually turn into cardboard, but how long that will be I dunno.

I might drink most of the rest now and then just keep a couple of bottles for a 6 month and > check up.

I also tried one of the "Red IPAs" I made with the other half of the mash I used in the "Imperial Red Lager". It's very yummy, and more red then the IRL which is more of a reddish-brown due to a higher %age of the mash vs. light base malt.

Ran the beer tasting station at my wife's employer during their big auction fundraiser. Neil graciously donated the beer and giveaway swag, and I got to tell the story of the beers. The new Spring Single debuted this week, and it was the star. Really liked it, and got to talk trappist beer styles as i poured this enkel. I'm guessing that Mashani and a few others would really dig this beer. Fun event, and really receptive audience... Also poured Pale Ale, Dos Perros, and Hefe.

Popped trub bottle of the Mt. Hood version of my BPA with T-58 fermented at lager like ambient temps (did not control fermentation temp, but ambient was 56 degrees, it spiked but finished at lager temps).

It's crystal clear, a really nice copper color, and hell yeah, it's good. I forgot how much I like Mt. Hood hops.
