I'm drinking Founders All Day IPA from a can. Because I ran out of my own homebrewed session IPAs. (boo).

Besides the fact that it is boring compared to what I make (why do people think session IPAs can't handle a crap load more hops, just add them all late...), it has a skunky taste.

How does beer in a can get a skunky taste?

That's odd.....I've had that a number of times and never had a skunky one.
I feel your pain, though. Last night I poured a Lagunitas Pale Ale (picked up a single since I hadn't had one in a while) and it too had a skunkiness to it. I had to pour it.

No beer right now at this moment. Margaritas, it's in the high 80's and humid. They are going down too good.

Nothing wrong with that. At least it's in a pint glass.

If you have St. Somewhere in your market and haven't tried any, I highly recommend. Among my favorite breweries. Bob makes great saisons. He has a Yazoo collab out right now. I got these in Indy, but just this week we got limited bottles in our market (which makes me very happy)...Image

Tonite's gift with a suggestion.......take your time and get a ride home! And if you are a diabetic, take your insulin!
Some quality chocolate will enhance the darker beers. Jeez, each bottle is a meal and enough calories to sustain a NFL team! (except the Gose which was only 5% and very, very enjoyable)

So instead of diabeetus beer, I found out that I still had 2 bottles of my sour caveman style Leann Fraoch I made last year. It is basically a hopless heather flower Braggot. Sour came from some kind(s) of lacto bugs and wild yeast in the unpasteurized raw unfiltered honey (including bug part floaties) that I didn't filter out or kill. I think I used S-04 as the yeast but fermented it pretty cool. The sour bugs really didn't kick in until about 2 weeks into the fermentation when it started to ferment again, so I put it in a secondary (which I never do) it and let it rip for a while longer, until it ran out of stuff to eat.

It's actually really quite good if you like sours.

No diabeetus from this stuff.

Firestone Walker Adversus. 8.2% IPA.

It tastes similar to Luponic Distortion #6, but with Pilsner malt. Smooth, easy and crisp.

Oh yeah the other I had this beer and it was described as "dankalicious". Very, very accurate.

Honestly, this beer may replace Pliny in my book. And it is right near Russian River Brewery...they better watch out.

One more. This was earlier on the week and from a brewery that is quickly becoming a powerhouse out here - Alvarado Street Brewery.

This is another IPA (but not all I drink these days). Massive amounts of Nelson Sauvin and Citra. Party time, EXCELLENT!
