I deserve a homebrew because....

Post by FedoraDave »

Here's a thread to explain why you deserve a homebrew.

Of course, you can always have a homebrew, but when you feel like you really deserve one, it makes it taste better.

Anyway, I'll begin.

I deserve a homebrew because I had to change a flat tire after my first stop this morning. It was in the 30s.

Yeah, I deserve a homebrew for that.

Because most days a week I try to exercise for about an hour just so I can drink a homebrew.

It snowed, and I went cross country skiing. And my cats stole my bottling wand spring. Bastards.

I deserve a homebrew because.....It was 21 deg. outside this morning, 4" of new snow and frozen on the windshield. On the way to work I seen my neighbours pickup pulled off the side of the road, I stopped and he was broke down, I gave him a ride into town and to his work, I was late for my work. Had to get a random Drug and alcohol test, passed of course, but always a pain first thing in the morning. Worked outside in the cold on and off most of the day, not much warmer in our shop as we don't have the main heater fired up yet. To top it off I knew I was getting low on gas in my Jeep, and the gauge likes to lie a little when it gets low, 4 blocks from my work to the gas station and I ran out of gas on the way, Had a can with me, but no fun dumping it in, cold and snowing when you can see the gas station. Wouldn't have ran out if I hadn't taken my neighbor to work, Filled it up again, another $60 gone.
Home now having a FEW well deserved homebrews

I deserve a homebrew because my coworkers and I busted ass at work today and made over $7000 in sales on a Tuesday! That's a lot of tires installed today! Man I'm beat.

"Filled with mingled cream and amber
I will drain that glass again.
Such hilarious visions clamber
Through the chambers of my brain

Come to life and fade away;
Who cares how time advances?
I am drinking ale today."

I'm averaging about 62 hrs a week at work right now and they've told us to be prepared to be in there until New Year, Thanksgiving included!
But Thanksgiving and the day after are double time!

Wait! Does Dave deserve a beer for changing his flat, or should he be penalized a beer for not having AAA or if it was on his work truck not having the company get it changed?

And did Berryman run out of gas to justify a beer, but fry his fuel pump by running it dry?

These and other important questions may be answered as you watch "Why we deserve a homebrew".
I have over 9,000 posts on "another forum", which means absolutely nothing. Mr. Beer January 2014 Brewer of the Month with all the pomp and circumstance that comes with it...

I deserve a homebrew because I have managed to keep my calm while talking to these idiotic jehovah's witnesses. It is apparently missionary season. I have had three come to my door this morning. I have had another 6 this week and a few last week. I hate that I have to hide in my own house. Unfortunately I am now a full time student so I spend a great amount of time on my computer which is in view of the windows as you walk up to the house. If they see me they will continue to bang on the door and ring the doorbell until I answer the door. I don't want to have to close my blinds and not be able to see the sun the whole time I am home. So far they have all come from different churches that aren't even close to here and calling them to tell them to leave me alone doesn't seem to help. When I have pointed out the no solicitation sign I have just been told that it doesn't apply to missionaries because they are trying to save my soul.

I don't go to your house and preach my views to you so please leave me alone.
