Hi Ryan. I didn't see this question asked anywhere, so sorry if I missed it. Let's say I upload a recipe, then purchase that kit of my recipe from you. Do I still get the commission from that sale, or do you not get it if you buy your own kit? If the kits are priced competitively enough, it might be a good way for the recipe creator to save a buck or two on the recipe that they would be buying anyway. I could see uploading my house recipes that I brew regularly, and then ordering those kits if it makes sense from a total cost perspective. Just curious what your thoughts are regarding purchasing your own kits.

I like the concept. Hopefully the Kickstarter goes well and you get this off the ground. Love the entrepreneurial spirit in general, and specifically when it comes to brewing! Best of luck to you!!

Howdy! Yep, your commission applies to ALL sales, so you effectively can buy your own stuff at a discount. I agree I think that there is potentially many people that would use the service almost exclusively as a quick go-to for their tried and true house beers. Even with your regulars, it always stinks to end up with extra ingredients at the end of the day! :D

There are so many dang ways people could use this marketplace, it's been a challenge to speak succinctly and intelligently about it to the public... Thanks for the encouragement!

If my friend is making a beer I like, my preference is to go over to their house and drink it for free....

This is true. But it doesn't work so well wild you have brewing friends that live states away instead of right down the street.

I would highly recommend it if you haven't already picked it up!

Also, "a few SHORT weeks" - How's that going for you?? Are you feeling like time is just DRAAAAAAGGING?
Thanks for the book tip. Can never read too much. Like that it is also on audio as I tend to listen to those the first time, hone in on what is important, and then sit down and pay attention the second time around (or buy the paper book and mark it up).

Shoot, wish it would be dragging. Not much time now to get WAY too much done!!!

Haha, yeah - I guess I'm right there with you. I'm about two weeks out and I'm simultaneously amazed at how much still needs to be done AND how I'm going to have to sustain this level of effort for SO MUCH LONGER!!! Hahahah
