I really wasn't supposed to do this but a one week post bottling QC test is in progress.
I'm not surprised by no head yet, although there is a bit of carb bubbles rising.
But more important, I thought I had failed totally on the body since my OG and FG numbers were not matching well with the expected. It seems that may not be the case. There is a bit of a syrupy thickness to the body to stand up to the hopping rate. WOW!

Another QC test at 3 weeks carbing. One bottle thrown in the freezer for 30 minutes.

I'm tasting a slight fruit now. So I look at the "tasting notes" from the recipe:
Big, thick, right and bloody nasty! Spicy herbs and marmalade. Sweet and bitter with plenty of hop tannins...

Sounds about right.

It's wonderful. And you're right that the "marmalade" starts becoming stronger.

That looks great, not that I think I've ever seen an ugly beer....

Congrats on the successful partnership.

No you didn't miss it and no I haven't tried it yet.
The pic I posted of the BOTM award was taken yesterday with the bottle you sent me and a bottle of mine. I am not worried about trying it quickly since it will only get better with age. I will probably drink the one you sent me when I finally get one of mine on it's way to you. :)

Not sure where to report this, so may as well just do it here - but I am not seeing any pics that The Professor posts. It's no a browser thing, I've tried it in 4 different browsers now. But every post where he says here is a pic... I see nothing but blank space followed by his signature spoiler expandable things.

Is it just his picture or all pictures?

I see other people pictures. It seems to just be his. I do not know if it is related to his signatures or not (most other folks don't use the spoiler/expandable signatures). It's the only other thing "special" about his messages.

Nope, it's not as simple as the spoiler/expander thing. Dawg has a post of him in a kilt in the trip forum, and I see that - and he has one of those spoiler/expander things.

This is an example of what I see. This was in Chrome, but I see it in IE 11, Firefox, and also Edge too.

Does the pic show with a direct link?

EDIT: I didn't see it was just in Chrome at first.
