Thank you! I was a competent artist once upon a time, but a frustrating case of arthritis put an early end to my art career. The Jedi Frenchie was a serendipitous Google find. I will not admit to the length of time I spend searching for just the right graphic. Obsessive compulsive tendencies and what not...russki wrote:...did you do the Jedi Dog artwork yourself? This looks ready for a store shelf!

Nicely Done! I scanned your QR code and liked your 2thedogsbrewery page.lindseywinstead wrote:My "brewery" is named 2thedogs Brewery. We have five dogs and two cats (6 permanent furkids and 1 canine foster), so our lives have definitely gone "to the dogs". We name each brew after a beloved pet, past or present. In addition to being an animal lover, I am a sci-fi nerd as well. Needless to say, I am rarely at a loss for label ideas. Bottling today is my first attempt at an Imperial IPA, and the muses suggested a Star Wars theme, just for something different..

Your labels make me want to commune with nature and drink beer.russki wrote:I've been using http://www.beerlabelizer.com for a long time, but got kinda tired of "same old, same old", so I decided to create a minimalistic template in Photoshop that would work for beer, wine, or mead with minor tweaks. I google for nice background images... so infringement galore!!!
Here are a few labels I had made using my template:

Thank you! Coming from such a talented graphic artist as you, that is a wonderful complement. I was wondering who this "Andrew" was, and how he stumbled upon my FB page!Ibasterd wrote:Nicely Done! I scanned your QR code and liked your 2thedogsbrewery page.

I posted these pic before at MB, but here they are again.
I keep the templates of the ones I use over and just make more copies.

Re: Show me Your Labels
I recently did a few based on a format that I liked online. I may tweak this format a bit for the next time I label (had been a couple years since the last time, so I don't know if that will be soon), but I kinda liked the consistency...

I like those Swen.

Well I'm working on a prototype for labels... Got this one going for now. I don't have a lot of options for fonts, so I'm thinking maybe just leave it blank and handwrite the names in like Inkleg's labels. I will entertain any ideas!

Nice job, Phil. I dig it.
Re: Show me Your Labels
save that, and then when it's label time, enter your data, print, and there you are. just don't save over your templatephilm00x wrote:Well I'm working on a prototype for labels... Nice Phil, I like it alot.
I look at some of these other great labels people make and think about making different ones. But then I think about all the different beers I make and how much time that would take.
So I'm happy with a nice center piece label like ours and hand writing the information.

Have you ever visited http://www.dafont.com? I use that site quite a bit. They have over 22,600 free fonts. The best part is that you can type in a word or phrase and see it in the various fonts to help you decide which one is just right. It is a great resource for frugal designers.

Re: Show me Your Labels
Okay. First of all; I can't make up my mind on what to name my beers. I have changed the name of my latest creation to "Heart Of The Country". I'm still going with the "stealing" of music titles and I got to thinking of all the songs that would go with this brew. Here is the song that inspired me:

And here is the label I've created for the beer:

And here is the label I've created for the beer:
Things men have made with wakened hands, and put soft life into
Are awake through years with transferred touch and go on glowing
For long years.
And for this reason some old things are lovely
Warm still with the life of forgotten men who made them.
