(aka, Kitchen Sink Cupboard Cleaning Ale)

I had three extracts left from the dang blasted Mr. Beer contest, all three expired at this point. So I'm making an effort to use them all in the next few weeks. I had no interest in brewing the American Ale extract... the one of these I tasted was bland and nondescript. So... instead it is the base on a cupboard cleaning beer. There was no rhyme or reason to this... not shooting for any style or specific recipe. Just taking the opportunity to clear out some opened ingredients to get some things off the shelf, including some of the dandelion syrup I made, as well as some smoked malt, hops that have been around for a bit, and a kvass extract. This may really suck, or maybe it will be good. Who knows.

I think you actually out frankenbiered me there, and that's not an easy task.

Interested how the kvass works in it, I've been considering tossing a jar of it into something.

That American Ale extract I thought was pretty bad. BUT, I bottled half of the batch each bottle with half a jalapeno' and it was a big hit. The pepper taste and some heat hid the hideous taste of the American Ale extract.

I made good beer with that extract but I always added some DME and late hops to give it some kick in the pants.

The ones I really don't like is the Northwest Pale and the Pilsner. Too much POR, too little anything else.
