Update-

The Pale Ale was a soso beer, but considering it was 5 years old, it was OK

My 6 gallons of Irish Stout is a mashing success  , as is the Baltic Porter that I brewed. We are really enjoying these, not sure which is better :fencing: :clink: .

I have a 6 Gallon of American Porter in the Fermenter now and waiting to do a Chili Stout until a new tap gets here for my LBK Fermenter.
Started Brewing on 10/29/17

So far this year.... 30 Gallons Brewed

Drinking - Fresh Squished IPA, American Porter, Rasberry Wheat and Baltic Porter
Bottled/Aging - Calvera Chili Stout, Apricot Wheat
Brewing - Caribou Slobber (Moose Drool Clone)

Just got a 2 gal kit as a b-day gift. Super-excited to start brewing. I'm hearing good things about this Irish stout and gonna order a refill. Is how you receive 15% off?

:bbwelc: and Happy Birthday! BrewDemon has some pretty good recipes. The trick is to be patient and let them condition longer than the direction say to. There's a lot of great advice here in the forum that will help you brew the best beer possible so please feel free to ask questions. Please follow this link for instruction on how to get the discount.

Hi,
New member and new to brewing. I currently have a 1 gallon batch of Brooklyn Brewery Chocolate Maple Porter fermenting (my first attempt). I also just bought the BrewDemon 3 gallon fermenter to make 2-2.5 gal batches. Can't wait to drink my first brew in a few weeks.

Welcome to the Borg!!!! found a great group of brewers here, if you have any question please ask everyone here is shooting for the same outcome, GOOD BEER!!!! Give the beer 16-18 days or so in the fermenter then give the bottles 2-4 weeks at room temp to condition, refrigerate for a couple days to let the carbonation re-absorb into the beer and enjoy!

Greetings Fellow Beer Borg Members,

My name is Joe and I’m new to the Borg Community. You come highly recommended by a good friend of mine Steve who makes some darn good beer.

I live in Concord Township, Ohio and have been brewing on and off since 1994. My brother-in-law introduced me to home brewing many years ago and from 1994 until 1997 I was brewing mainly partial mash/extract beers. We started having children in 1997 and that is when I stopped home brewing until 2007. During what I call “the children age”, I continued to brew beer but without the hassles of cleanup at home. The beer I made was created at local Brew On Premise (BOP) sites such as BrewKeeper, Brew Kettle and Little Mountain Brewing Company. I joined a local home brew club and have been brewing all grain since 2007.

Finally, I have been happily married to my wife Linda for 27+ years and we have two boys who are attending Bowling Green State University and Akron University.

My dream is to someday open a bar that serves home brew.
