What I have been doing

Post by berryman »

And slacking on making beer. My Mom passed close to two years ago and wife and I inherited the house where I grew up. My Mom was in the second hand, house hold sales and antique business for over 50 years, we inherited a mess of stuff to get rid of. Some is very good other stuff is junk and we have been sorting

Wow, lots of stuff. My FIL was in the business, except it wasn't a business, he just acquired stuff... 1,200 square foot house with an attic and one car garage, and a boathouse that is basically one car wide.
Took us two summers to empty most of it out. 8 tons to the scrap yard, 1/2 dozen garage sales, Craigslist listings for several years... What some view as treasures, most view as junk.

Lots of time to look things up for values. :wow:
I have over 9,000 posts on "another forum", which means absolutely nothing. Mr. Beer January 2014 Brewer of the Month with all the pomp and circumstance that comes with it...

Wow, I don't envy you. Looks like a good reason to get good with ebay.

That's a big job, Berry. And I'm sure seeing this stuff brings back memories that are bittersweet. And that makes it a tougher job.

Hang in there, buddy. Brewing can take a back seat for now.

That looks like a job that requires a homebrew. Or two. Or ten.

There's always American Pickers....j/k. When my Father passed, his house was full of stuff.Lots of stuff. The buyer wanted to get his Mother moved in quickly, and knew it would take me forever to clean the house out.So after we removed what we wanted,he took over and cleaned everything else out. Saved me a lot of headaches.
