Back in brewing mode...

Post by teutonic terror »

Afternoon BORG :borg: ...
been a while since I've posted anything even though I do lurk on a fairly regular basis...

I haven't brewed probably since July
between work and the weather, mainly the weather...no time or chance when I wasn't working...
We've had a tornado skip thru town about a half mile from the house in April...
a torrential downpour that dumped 7" of rain in less than two hours nearly causing a
dam breach , and now Michael passed just to the south of us leaving another 4-6" of rain.
For the year we're 8" above normal for rain and my yard's a quagmire most of the time...
hope that doesn't carry over to Winter...

SO, I'm off this week, the weather looks fairly stable but coolish for most of it,
and I've set up an ambitious schedule of four brews in the next nine days...a pale ale,
Fresh Squeezed Clone, Smoked Porter and an IPA with Citra, Mosaic and Mandarinia.

A keezer with four empty kegs is just not a pretty sight!

Sounds like a tough stretch there. At least you kept safe. Your brewing line up sounds great, good luck and I hope they all come out good for you.

Looks like you got it all covered. That choice of recipes is almost perfect for the early fall. Glad you found your way back.

Glad you are back and ready. I sometimes go for long stretches without brewing and this summer has been the worst for me. Come on winter where the only thing I have to do everyday is plow the driveway and make beer...

Man, I dread the thoughts of winter...we're in the low 50's right now and I'm not diggin' it all...

Morning BORG :borg:
Grinding the grain for #2....
Thought it wasn't gonna happen until Wed.
I had to break out my cheapo Harbor Freight drill that smokes when I use it
on the mill...my Craftsman cordless is getting puny in it's advanced age and won't turn it
anymore.
Got a 7 amp corded 1/2" corded Skil drill on the way.
