Roggenbier I made. It is great. This is one of the "all grain wins" kind of beers, as in you just can't do it quite right with extract beers.

Not so much beer right now as liquor...
sipped a glass of Benchmark #8 from Buffalo Trace last night.
Not top shelf by any means, but to me, very good.
Slept like a baby!

The weather has turned, and thus the beers have darkened...

Picked up a Highland Marauder Scotch Ale by Morgan Territory (the site claims you can click for more info, you can't)
The description on the bottle says, ".....malt forward offering that focuses on rich caramel and toffee flavors. Traditional English hops, a hint of peated malt...."
A Scotch ale that actually has body and is way to easy to drink for an 8.0 ABV.
I would suggest it for anyone that likes a malty beer on occasion, as I do.

Hopefully 2 tonight:
- HB Fresh Squeezed
- Born Yesterday

It has been 7 days since I've had a beer and these are going to be good!

Been drinking a few Sierra Nevada Oktoberfest's for last few weeks...

I consider it pretty good and the wife likes it too.

Vinnie's sours are a big part of me getting interested in the style. Always fun to open one of these.

I popped open my attempt at cloning Anchor Humming @3 weeks in the bottle.

It looks and tastes more or less like Anchor Humming as far as I can tell without having an Anchor Humming to drink side by side, so I am calling it a success.

I basically used a Liberty Ale clone recipe and just used Nelson Sauvin hops for every addition.

Even if it's not a perfect match, it's delicious.

I am no longer able to drink the Raw Gratzer bier, because I had people come over the other day, and they drank all of it. So I guess it was actually good and not just me.

Still they are bastards.

Any of you Ohio locals had Columbus Brewing Co. Simon? Pretty solid stout IMHO. Great hockey watching beer for the IIHF Jr semis... US v Russia, baby!
