The Plato Valve

Been hearing lots about this and for $10, can you go wrong? Of course, there are many other options but this just seems too easy.

Interesting...a cheap way to prevent the dreaded suck back. Which, I've experienced a couple years ago. A front came through and the barometric change caused a suck back on a lager. It moved 1/2 gallon of water from the blowoff container back into the fermenter!!!

I remember that happening to you. I don't think I've had a problem and though I sometimes use a blow off, I've never noticed any starsan leaving my airlock when I cold crash but for $10, it's good insurance.
