Still raining here. Supposed to change over to snow in the next couple of hours. And with the snow comes wind and bitter cold temps. It's rained a lot today, if it was snow, we would be buried.

Conneaut Ohio is where my wife is from and most of her relatives there, about the first place after crossing into Ohio coming from my way going west, about 1 1/2-2 hour drive. Cleveland is a little over 3 hrs. for me.

Get them out and come on up, you can ski down my long driveway and hike back up and have a beer. Not plowing that damn thing until this is over and warms up some. I have snow shoes if needed...

It’s still snowing lightly but I think the worst is over. Ended up with about a 1 1/2ft, but got some drifting in places from the wind. It is cold out, 6 degs. And sounds like it will below 0 tonight and into tomorrow.

We got about a foot along the shores of Lake Erie in Eastlake, but the drifts ranged from 2-3 feet in my drive.

Steve I got some pretty big drifts in my driveway too, but way to cold for me to go out and plow with my skid steer and that only has a top and back window, open screened sides and open front. It is 2 degs here now but sun is shining. We have 2 Jeeps and a 4x4 pickup we drive so we can get in and out good. Tomorrow it is suppose to get into the 20's and I will clean things up then.

I hate winter anymore and sometimes wonder why I stay here.

When it's not winter, your part of the world is one of my happy places.

Even in the winter, if I can get up to the Salamanca area without wrecking on the way, there are some awesome Nordic ski trails there that some local organization maintains.

Allegany state park and Salamanca is just a short drive for us, We go there once and a while to eat and spend some money at the casino. https://senecaalleganycasino.com/

Well the next go round is here, very very cold and some wind, but almost no snowing for a change. To a little north along the lake and in the Buffalo, NY area it is bad and about shut down. -4 not counting the wind chill here.

We hit -4 with a -26 wind chill about mid day today. It's still cold at -2 right now, but the wind has really died down, so at least the wind chill isn't as bad. Pretty brutal out there.

Balmy here. Rocky Point is the warmest spot on LI, +8, only -8 with wind chill. I think I'll go for a drive.
