OK, an update. I have all equipment on hand. Got the CO2 today, and the regulator did indeed arrive on Monday. I have the gas lines all connected and working. Just need to cut some beverage tubing and assemble that end of things. Kegs are cleaned and ready to go. Planning to keg on Sunday, so I have between then and now to get everything put together. Watched some vids... should be easy. Totally forgot about ol' Craigtube, but his vids on kegging were pretty good. And that man loves his Coopers...

Have fun with it. Lots of help here if and when you need it but you pretty much know what to do.
Craig is an oddity (meant in a good way). He brews beers and usually drinks them in 7-10 days on average. He also quite the musician too. In the 80's he had some hits in Canada.
The Tube is full of help and most of it is really good.

Sunday's easy kegging day.... Hit the OG numbers, taste was what I wanted, and super-smooth process. Been force carbing since Sunday. Grain bag suspended above the proceedings b/c the little fridge has been dripping a lot from condensation freezing and thawing from the wild swings in temp the past week. Found a long time ago that suspending this bag does the trick...

Hey Swen...word of caution on the CO2 tank setup. As that tank gets empty, the weight of the dual regulator will make it top heavy and it will fall over. I built a base for mine. I'll take a picture when I get home later and post here!!!

Funny you say that. I've been trying to figure out how to cut the wire shelving that was in the fridge to make a stand for the kegs and tank, or to come up with some other solution. Will be interested to see what you worked out.

Also worth noting that because your CO2 tank is IN the fridge you won't get an accurate reading of how much gas is left. I forget if it always reads low or just goes from GREEN to RED immediately when it kicks. You can find out pretty quickly with that Google thing, though. It doesn't change the performance to have it inside, just the reading.

In the spirit of all of our n00bie first bottled beers that we couldn't resist trying too early........ After this discussion today, I had to pull a 10oz pour tonight. So, turned down to serving level, poured a nice pour. It's pretty nice right now, though not very clear at this point (I know I'm likely getting what has settled to the bottom here). But... it's really close to drinkable right now. Very ESBish. I'm planning a "normal" carb, not a lower carb for the style, so though I considered just leaving it at pouring level, I then decided to turn it back up to 12 and will try again on Sunday.

Here’s a couple shots of the little base I made. Basically a small wooden box with flat legs that go under the regulator keeping it from falling.

I don't worry if the first pour or two is cloudy, because I don't cold crash. I also tend to adjust my pressure as needed.

Already working on the permanent taps. I don't mind the picnic ones, but for the April party, i was thinking it might be better for something permanent. I harvested and cleaned taps from the 2 tap tower i inherited that i think i can get to work. I have everyrhing else now. The only thing i need to do (and am worrying about) is drilling thru this ancient metal refrigerator...
