New here, from MB
Afternoon,
As this title says, I'm new to the borg. I brew using Mr. Beer, or rather, I used to brew and am getting back into it. I actually quit brewing a couple years ago because of several life changes: got married, purchased a house, had my boy, started working for a new city etc. etc. Long story short, the Mr. Beer equipment ended up in my attic. I went to the MB forums to announce my return, but I read that a lot of people have migrated this way, so I figure I should follow the wise ones, right?
I recently got it out though and am looking to make my first pumpkin ale! I even started growing my own pie pumpkins earlier this year, but the dog destroyed them! There's always next year for that, right?
Anyway, I look forward to hanging around here, learning as much as I can and seeing your wonderful brews!

Thanks for the welcome! I just want to make sure, am I allowed to ask about Mr. Beer here? I've only used that so far and don't have plans to hop into the full process just yet....

To the borg and yu can ask about any brewing company here
Re: New here, from MB
Yep. Take a look around the forum, and you'll see we have all sorts of beer related areas. From MB and BrewDemon to all grain and everything in between. We have our share of other goofiness as well. That would happen in the Brewhouse (mostly...).

Welcome! Being out of brewing as long as you were, you probably haven't tried the new Mr. Beer HMEs. If you do try them and don't like them, you'll be happy to know you can now get the old good ones from BrewDemon.
Good judgment comes from experience, which comes from poor judgment.

Howdy neighbor, Lago Vista here, and would you be shuffling up a hand of Texas Hold Em in that Avatar?

Brewbirds, I sure am! We refer to it as Outlaw Poker around here. We sit outside and play with a fire going in the chiminea, kicking back some iced down longnecks.

im Leben Geduld ist eine Tugend
in Brau-es ist eine Anforderung
in life patience is a virtue
in brewing it is a requirement
