Inkbird Temp. Controller
Has anyone used these yet? Just wondering about the reliability compared to a Johnson on a Kezzer. They are about 1/2 the price.

Re: Inkbird Temp. Controller
I'm using one and it works great for me. Can't speak to long-time reliability. I've only used it for 2 ferments so far. Instructions are kind of not easily readible, but it ended up being easy to set... set temp target, hi range, low range, hi alarm, low alarm. I have mine right now at 58 degrees and a 1 degree hi and low range, so it has kept temps between 57 and 59 with no issue with the cooling input as the fridge and the heating input as a brew belt. I have a JC set up on the keg fridge (but it is borrowed), and am considering getting another Inkbird for that fridge as well.

TY, I am planning on one for a Kezzer build, but not for fermenting. My LHBS guy has one in his shop on a kezzer and works fine, I like to hear from all the folks that I trust on here also.swenocha wrote:I'm using one and it works great for me. Sorry, can't help. I had a JC before moving to an STC-1000+.

Ha Ha I know this and really appreciate the input I get here. I like building things and can. I decided to build a kezzer instead of buying a new kegerator like most on here have, will have close to the same money in it, but will have the stuff I want in it from the beginning. I want it to fit my basement bar theme. My start.. https://www.homedepot.com/p/GE-7-0-cu-f ... /206943515Kealia wrote: Just wanted you to know you weren't being ignored

Re: Inkbird Temp. Controller
Mine has worked good running the tiny fermentation fridge I have. But it's tiny, as in one of my little 4 gallon volume fermenters barely fits in it. So, I can't say how well it would last for something with higher power drain.
Re: Inkbird Temp. Controller
I use mine on a 5 cu.ft. chest freezer, works great. Previously used it on two 4.4 cu.ft. fridges, same. In the chest freezer I set it to ferment, lager, or store, no problems.

I've been using an ITC 308 on my keezer's for about 3 years now...
it was reasonably priced, easy to set and so far, no problems...

Thanks all for the replies. I have a ITC-308 ordered on it's way.

Re: Inkbird Temp. Controller
I got the controller yesterday and had a chance to play with it today. I plugged it in to turn a light on and with 2 glasses of water one with ice and the other warmer, I figured out how to do all the settings. Not bad at all to do. I think this is going to be a good unit.
