A rant and read if want.

Post by berryman »

I have been shopping for a freezer to build a keezer, have been watching craigslist and our pennysaver adds. for used ones, Couldn't find what I was looking for. I decided to buy a new one, after going to my 2 Local Home Depot stores and other appliance stores in my area I didn't see what I wanted. Ordered one from Home Depot website for home delivery. $339 ok good, plus tax ok, plus $59 delivery well I guess ok. Delivery 3/1 ok, 2 mins later got another email saying delivery 3/5 I guess ok, then got another email about 2 min later saying delivery 3/1 and $118 deliverer charge, now at $493.56 for a $339 freezer. I have know idea when it will come or how much.......................Why I like to go to a real store and buy and pay for it and take it home.

You're not wrong brother.
You might make a phone call or send an email to straighten it out.

Oh yah and I will. I think I have it coming but don't know when or how much. I can deal with the new way of buying things, but would rather see it, pay for it and bring it home.

That's a bunch of junk. Why did the delivery fee go from $59 to $118?? I can deal with a day or two difference when it comes to delivery, but a quote is a quote and needs to be honored.

A little update but can't confirm. Delivery is supposed to be tomorrow, couldn't check the tracking so called again today. 1:30 - 5:30 tomorrow. Price is right now. Will see what we get tomorrow and go from there.

Well it got delivered and at the price it should of been and no problem there, but it has a small ding in one of the corners but no paint missing. I paid $60 more for the custom color then a plain white one would be. The delivery guys showed me the ding and asked if I wanted to reject it otherwise $75 or more refunded if keep it. I chose to keep it because where the dent is is hardly visible . Now on to the Kezzer build. Going to need a 6” collar.

You will see but good things take time and patience. Working on it as I type. :)
