Would you believe I never stepped inside a single brewery while there?! Although I had plenty of Bearded Iris, Yazoo and other local beers both on tap and in cans. We found The Filling Station in 12 South that had over a dozen beers on tap and shelves stocked floor to ceiling with what I thought were rare finds. I actually had my first ever Three Floyd's Gumball Head there! Tennessee Brew Works has a tap room in 12 South but had limited hours.

Just as a side note, I did notice a lot of places advertising 'Cold Brew' or 'Served On Nitro' but they were serving coffee! Which my wife and daughter liked a lot but kind of threw me off my game a little.

Glad you had fun. The taproom in 12South is for Mill Creek. I've never gone there either. I don't know how long it will last. I talked to someone who worked there and he said they had cut back hours, so....

Brandi (who runs the Filling Station in 12South) is one of my longtime beer buddies in town. She (and her husband, who runs the East Nashville location) is a top notch solid person. She was the taproom manager (and her husband was the other bartender) at Yazoo when they were at the old taproom (which we visited on the last meetup... now Corsair), and she was there for probably a decade, so she's been slinging beers for me since '03 or so. I assume she treated you right...

Yes, she did. She and I think it was her husband, were very knowledgeable and welcoming. We actually went there for beers on three separate days. At one point in the afternoon, I kidded with Brandi and asked if I could have my mail sent there. I'd be a regular customer if I lived closer.

I suggested it, but we had a loooooong list of places we considered. Brandi is one of my favorite people in the industry (who am i kidding? outside of the industry as well), and I always feel comfortable recommending her store to people because I know she'll treat them right. She's very knowledgeable, friendly, just great people...

As for visiting Nashville... I'll point out that Yazoo poured countertops for their new taproom at the new brewery this week... You all could time a visit once they open! The Life is Brewing (Mantra/Steel Barrel/Humulus Project) Hop Springs brewery/MTSU beer lab has also opened since you last visited. And we didn't visit the other Southern Grist location, Fat Bottom, Smith and Lentz, New Heights, Honky Tonk, the new Blacksone taproom, the new Jackalope location, (could probably list a few more)... Also, Diskin Cider, Arrington Vineyards, all of the distilleries, etc.

Ran into Brandi last week, and she expressed what a wonderful group you all were and that she was glad you came by.
