T.R.A.S.H. XXIX

Post by Dawg LB Steve »

Past Saturday had 4 beers entered, scored one silver medal for Kolsch, had mishap with 4 as the bottom fell out of one of the carriers. Happened to be that one broke and the label popped off the other, my infinite wisdom said just pop the top and pour a small bit to see which it was, I did then just topped out the foam in the neck of my Irish Red but should have dumped and re-bottled :x. So as I'm stewarding the afternoon session I looked at the judging assignments and see Malcolm Frazer judged Irish and Scottish Ales, I'm excited now to get feedback from him on my Red. Get the scoresheets after the comp reading in the hotel, GGGRRRR!!!!! He gets the compromised bottle to judge :( , first comment low fill tells me all I need to know from there to the end, it was oxidized to beat the band! Oh well lesson learned.
