Hmm… too bad I wasn't there to help with the "salvage operation". I'm sure I could have taken care of a few of them.

Mannheim police said volunteer firefighters from two nearby towns and a local civil defence team took part in the salvage operation.
Can a "salvage operation" result in bierleiche like Oktoberfest?

It sounds like there were a lot of bierleiche of the bottle kind.

Human kind, I guess it would depend on the traffic.

Oddly enough, this is a good reminder for me to verify that my beer fridge and fermentors are earthquake-proof.
