Ok my Brewing experts I just bottled by first BD kit and now it is sitting comfortably on my shelves in a pantry. I used the plastic bottles that it came with so we shall see what this brings. Thank you for all those who gave me the great advice.
Next up I am trying the Red Devil Apple Wheat kit from BD. I noticed the recipe takes longer than the beer. However the tips you guys gave me actually doubled the amount of time the BD recipe called for.
I also plan on using glass bottles this go round. Because well beer in a glass bottle just seems to taste better. What if any thing have you guys learned?
So once again looking for the wisdom of my betters.
Thx for helping me in this adventure!

Re: Cider Questions
I switched to glass pretty quickly when I started. I got a case of return bottles from my local beer distributor for the 5c@ deposit. He already knew me as a regular customer. Pry off bottles are better than twist offs. Give them a good cleaning, soak the labels off if you like.
Making beer and stew for the Zombie Apocalypse.
Never mind, there it is.

Re: Cider Questions
Thx John. I ordered bottles from BD but if I like glass over plastic that sounds like a great idea

Pry off better? I'd go farther. They're necessary.John Sand wrote:I switched to glass pretty quickly when I started. I got a case of return bottles from my local beer distributor for the 5c@ deposit. I'd never try to use a twist of bottle.
