Still learning

Yes BrewDemon and Mr. Beer kits are pretty darn easy but sometime you need a little help from the Borg to get you on the right track. Post your questions here!

Still learning

Post by Tmike »

I have a question hope can help me with. I have the holiday cheer with cherry puree fermenting now. I have the hops and sack just laying in the wort in the Brew Demon conical 2 gal kit. When i go to bottle from the fermenter kit do i dig in wort to take out the hop sac to bottle or just leave it in? Will it block the spout or introduce trub trash? I always did just the premade Hme cans no other ingredients. First time brewing next level. Thank you.

Flip a coin, sometimes yes, sometimes no. If you want to take it out, use something sanitized, then sanitize again. Do it a couple days before bottling so the trub you kick up can settle down again.

Sanitize a utensil ... such as a long BBQ fork ... to hook the sac and remove it before bottling.
My experience has been any trub roused during the extraction settles quickly.
